Ye Old Christmas Advent Event 2017

It was that time of year again, and Rebel had waited excitedly all day for the few hours she had to herself each evening. Today was December first. Time to put up the Christmas trees. She started with the smaller one in her personal home. Covered in strings of white lights and red strands of tinsel, she hung her old and still growing collection of assorted reindeer ornaments lovingly on the artificial limbs. A new angel from her mother sat ever watchful atop the tree. A few more strands of lights and tinsel and scattered ornaments swept across bookcases, the tv stand and all of the kitchen cabinets. The work went quick; Rebel was an old pro at decorating her small home. When everything was as festive as she wanted Rebel nodded approval and left, heading over to the common house.

Zane, Chad, and Marcus had already gone out and brought back a beautiful pine tree from the surrounding forest on her land. Still with its ball intact, the men had set it up in the traditional spot; close but not too close to the fire place. The second half of her work would now begin.

Lit with simple multi-colored lights and a simple yellow star whose light mingled with those of each bulb, the tree was kept simple on purpose. Having reached out to many of her fellow stable owners, Rebel had made for them each an ornament painted after one of their favorite horses. These would hang on her tree until the holidays were over, and then very carefully would be shipped to their respective owners. She may be a busy lady with a large estate to care for, but she was still a crafter at heart. She only hoped each person who received one would enjoy their little gift.
